Cyber Science2020 and COVID19 Announcement

COVID19

27th March 2020

Dear colleagues, authors, keynote speakers, and friends,

We hope you are well and safe!

We would like to inform you about the IEEE Cyber Science 2020 conference scheduled for 15-17 June, 2020 at Dublin City University, Ireland and on developments as a result of the outbreak and spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Our utmost priority now is to protect the health and safety of our colleagues, authors, attendees and communities. In line with directives from International, national and local public health authorities and advisors, we have taken the following steps:

  1. We will host Cyber Science 2020 solely online commencing June 15, 2020.
  2. We recognise that you may be working in flexible hours currently and many of you are located in International time zones. Similarly, 8 hours in front of a screen is not idea. To accommodate as many of you as we can, we will be extending the event over a week (i.e. 15-19 June 2020) with shorter presentation hours per day. Details on this will follow in the coming weeks and months to come as we draw up the schedule. Watch this space!
  3. We feel it would be nice to help each other out at this unprecedented time, so we are now extending the CFP to May 10, 2020. This is only available to those wishing to submit a new paper. Previously submitted papers are not allowed to be updated because we have completed peer reviews on those.
  4. Further, we will provide discounts to our conference registration fees for all authors and those wishing to attend. We have yet to work out the exact discount to be applied as we are still reviewing the costs of delivering the event online and the costs for publication in proceedings will remain. Once we have finalised this, we will update everyone.

So, please continue to take special care of yourself and your family and friends. Remain well and safe, and if you have any specific concerns, or there is anything that you think we should be doing that we’re not, please contact us on [email protected] or contact me directly.

Remain well and safe!

Yours truly,

Cyril
